We recently upgraded our portal environment to NW 7.4. We use Ajax Framework Page for our desktop and TLN.
When user opens one tab on the TLN (usually a sub-directory of a role) a second time after login, it always open the last application
used instead of the default entry iView for the folder. This is not desired since we have iViews that will run heavy loading applications.
When users are done with them, they move to other tabs for something else; when they need to go back to the previous tab for other
applications, we don't want to open the last run iView of that tab.
Example,
1. Open User Admin tab --> User Stattistics --> Activity Reports
2. Then go to System Administration --> System Configuration --> Cache Management --> Navigation Cache --> Clear Local Cache
3. Now, go back to the User Admin tab. It will automatically opens the Activity Reports again which we don't want to.
4. Same here, if we go back to System Admin, the Navigation Cache will be opened.
In NW 7.4, I noticed that we can no longer control the properties of the sub-directories, linked pages/iViews of a role to make them default entry for folder, etc. Is there a setting some where that makes all the tabs on the TLN to always stay at the first level when opened.
I also tried to clear browser cache, local cache, cluster cache, OBN cache, navigational cache, ... nothing changed!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
