SAP University Alliances Program (UAP) member schools across North America and Latin America are invited to participate in four days of train-the-trainer oriented coursework that will introduce participants to SAP functionality as well as best practices for successful classroom use. Workshop content is developed and delivered by professors active in the program. The face-to-face workshop sessions are detailed below, with links that UAP member professors can use to access the workshop materials and participate in post-workshop online discussions with their instructors and fellow attendees.

Analytics Applications Closed - registration has reached capacity Nitin Kale University of Southern California | Participants are introduced to SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Crystal analytic applications with a focus on hands-on exercises covering end user analytics. Participants are also introduced to SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse. The focus is hands-on exercises covering developer-focused analytics using SAP NetWeaver BW. Workshop will also feature new curriculum using SAP Lumira Cloud. ERPsim Level 1 Confirmed Jacques Robert HEC Montreal | In the course of this game, students have to run a business with a real-life ERP system (SAP). Groups of students each operate a firm in a make-to-stock manufacturing supply chain and must interact with suppliers and customers by sending and receiving orders, delivering their products and completing the whole cash-to-cash cycle. Using standard and custom reports of SAP ERP, students have to analyze these transactions and make business decisions to ensure the profitability of their operations. Accounting Information Systems using Classic Rockers Confirmed Ronny Daigle& Ross Quarles Sam Houston State University | Participants will obtain hands-on experience with SAP through a case designed specifically for the introductory AIS course. The case is composed of four separate but interrelated sets of exercise tutorials: 1) procurement; 2) production; 3) sales and distribution; and 4) financial and cost accounting. Instructors with minimal SAP knowledge can successfully use the case to demonstrate to students basic transaction processing and internal control concepts in an ERP system such as SAP. Student Entrepreneurship Program
Scott Jones SAP | SAP Student Entrepreneurship program will channel SAP’s real-world expertise on entrepreneurship to multi-disciplinary students interested in developing innovative mindsets, guiding ideas from inspiration to commercial solutions, and building successful businesses. In this hand-over session, we’ll provide faculty with a portfolio of assets and services they can use to teach entrepreneurship – either by adding real-world value from SAP to existing programs, or by starting entirely new ones. Topics will include Design Thinking, Business Modeling, Enterprise Development, Capital Acquisition, Go-to-Market Planning and more. SAP HANA Cloud Platform
Instructor: to be announced | This 4 day workshop is for faculty who are teaching mobile and web application development. SAP HANA Cloud Platform is a Platform as a Service solution which accelerates innovation in the big data, analytics, and app markets. The workshop will introduce you to SAP HANA Cloud Platform which supports standards-based open development with the ability to write JAVA or native HANA applications using HTML5 on SAP’s mobile platform. | Basic skills in Java and HTML5 programming as well as basic skills in using the Eclipse development environment. |
