Issue with MATNR search help (S_MAT1) when selecting with material group

Hi,

I declared a select option for matnr as below .

TABLES MARA.

SELECT-OPTIONS S_MATNR FOR MARA-MATNR.

When we select F4 on the selection screen for matnr, I selected the F4 on material group as below to fetch materials by selected material group wise but when I am trying to select a material group it was filling a blank space only as below even though I select material group.

Step 1:- I selected F4 on material number field as below.

Step 2:- I selected F4 on material Group and trying to select any material group.

Step 3:- I am trying to select one material group and clicking on checkbox (copy) , A blank space only getting filled as below.

So I tried running that standard search help from abap dictionary there also I am facing the same issue. Could you please assist me some on this ?
